Costa Rican Toucan
Karen Hope, Costa Rican Toucan, Oil, 12 x 7, Framed Over the past 20 years painting has been a fun way to express my creative side. I started art classes using pastels, painting the subject matters I loved – scenery, animals and angels. For the last 10 years, I have been dabbling with oils, still painting the things I think are beautiful. My painting style started out as realism – I would do my best to make the painting look as real as a photo. Today, I have relaxed my style, trying realism-abstract approaches and sometimes using two mediums.
