Kate Howard, who paints under the name Eastwood, is a Calgary artist who especially enjoys painting the Alberta landscape, and finds the interpretation of seasonal changes compelling and intriguing.  Kate has been invited to exhibit her work both locally and internationally.

Artist Statement

Light and landscape motivate me.  The dramatic interplay of shadows, and the effects of light upon form fascinate me.  Big skies draw me to their majesty and the Canadian landscape is a boundless source of inspiration.
