I emphasize process and movement in my abstracted paintings where I enjoy layering acrylic color glazes, and creating textures on paper, canvas, and wood surfaces. I also paint representations of subjects from nature and its inhabitants in oil.

 A B.A. from the University of British Columbia on the study of literature, film, and creative writing combined with an Art Therapy Diploma from the Vancouver Art Therapy Institute (V.A.T.I.) further inform and influence my approach. In addition to V.A.T.I. training, I continue learning through courses, workshops, and reading about new ways to use materials and techniques. I have built my foundation of skills through this method of study.

I am an Exhibiting member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and Past President of the Calgary Sketch and Painting Club.
